The tondo depicts the figure of a seated woman turned towards the viewer. The frontal position of the head is emphasized by the symmetry of the brooch. The position of the figure, the direction of the hands, scarf and the chain of the long pendant have a diagonal nature of the three-quarter turn of the body. This achieves a lively believability, a cozy home position of the model.
