Writing instrument carried out as an exact model of exit from the Arbatskaya metro station. The object is electrified.
Provenance: Received as a gift in 1953 in honor of the opening of the metro station from the People’s Commissar of Railways Lev Moiseevich Kaganovich, the head of the metro construction site. The gift was presented in the Kremlin.
History reference:
Kaganovich Lev Moiseevich was appointed on February 28, 1935 by Stalin to the post of Peoples Commissar of Railways, while maintaining his position as Secretary of the Central Committee.
In the period from 1935 to 1955, the metropolitan subway was named after Lazar Kaganovich - the People’s Commissar of Railways, who also led the preparation of the General Plan for the reconstruction of Moscow.
Провенанс: Получен в подарок в 1953 году в честь открытия станции метрополитена от наркома путей сообщения Кагановича Льва Моисеевича, руководителю объекта строительства метрополитена.Подарок вручался в Кремле.
Историческая справка:
Каганович Лев Моисеевич назначен 28 февраля 1935 года Сталиным на должность наркома путей сообщения, сохраняя сохраняя при этом пост секретаря ЦК.
В период с 1935 по 1955 годы, столичная подземка носила имя Лазаря Кагановича - наркома путей сообщения, руководившего также составлением Генерального плана реконструкции Москвы.
